'Skyfall', 'Argo', 'Les Misérables' among PGA movie nominees

Skyfall, Les Misérables and Django Unchained are among the motion picture nominations for the 24th annual Producers Guild of America (PGA) Awards.

The Producers Guild of America announced 10 nominees for the 'Darryl F. Zanuck Award for Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures' on Wednesday (January 2).

Argo, Lincoln and Silver Linings Playbook are also among the movies nominated, in what is considered an indication of potential Oscar winners for the forthcoming year.

Five films including Brave and Wreck-It Ralph get the nod in the category 'Outstanding Producer of Animated Theatrical Motion Pictures'.

This year, the Producers Guild of America will also present special honors to Bob and Harvey Weinstein (Milestone Award), Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner (David O Selznick Achievement Award in Theatrical Motion Pictures), JJ Abrams (Norman Lear Achievement Award in Television), Russell Simmons (Visionary Award) and Lee Hirsch's documentary Bully (Stanley Kramer Award).

The winners will be announced on Saturday January 26 during a ceremony at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, California.
