The James McAvoy-starring psychological thriller will arrive in cinemas on March 27, 2013, reports Deadline.
It centres around an art dealer who gets mixed up with a criminal gang and enlists a hypnotist in order to recover a stolen painting.
Vincent Cassel and Rosario Dawson will also star. Trainspotting and Shallow Grave writer John Hodge penned the script.
Trance will be Boyle's first feature since 2010's 127 Hours.
A US release for the Pathé and 20th Century Fox movie is yet to be set.
