This year's 'Best Actress' shortlist at the Oscars has the youngest-ever nominee (9-year-old Quvenzhané Wallis) and the oldest (the sprightly 85-year-old Emmanuelle Riva).
In between are Naomi Watts, Jessica Chastain and Jennifer Lawrence - all nominated for striking performances in very different movies.
