The account, which has gathered a cult following since its appearance in early November, posts messages purportedly from Haneke along the lines of: "i jst got an amour tshirt made. it says "i made a film about strokes + all i got was this tshirt, a parms dorz + 5 oscar nominayshuns" lol"

"My students said there was a weird Twitter account," The Los Angeles Times quotes Haneke as saying on the Golden Globes red carpet. "But I'm not that interested in that kind of thing. It's not for me."
The account makes fun of Haneke's severe and guarded reputation by posting messages that invert those expectations – another recent message read: "yay i won best film in foreign at the goldn globes!!1! i forgot 2 thank all the other foreign directors 4 not bein as good as me lol"
The unknown writer also takes the opportunity to mock other figures in the film industry – during the Golden Globes ceremony, they posted: "jst bumpd in2 mel gibson in the toilets. he sed i was his 2nd favurite austrian person ever!!1! how cool is that lol"
"harvey winesteen is such a nice guy. he jst gave me 60 austrian dollars and told me i had 2 tell evry1 he produced amour. fine by me lol," read another tweet.
Haneke's Amour is nominated for several Oscars including 'Best Picture', 'Best Actress' and 'Best Original Screenplay'.
