The Hunger Games star, nominated for her role in Silver Linings Playbook, took aim at the category's four other nominees during an opening monologue on the comedy show.
Addressing Zero Dark Thirty star Jessica Chastain, Lawrence said: "Jessica Chastain? More like Jessica Chast-ain't winning an Oscar on my watch.
"In Zero Dark Thirty you caught Bin Laden. So what? In Winter's Bone I caught a squirrel and then I ate it." The 22-year-old swiftly softened the jibe by adding: "Every time I see you act I learn something new."
"If it isn't my friend Naomi Watts," Lawrence continued. "You were in The Impossible. You know what else is impossible? You beating me on Oscar night... Oh, and Naomi you are amazing in everything you do."

Lawrence referenced Gary Coleman's Diff'rent Strokes catchphrase in her takedown of 9-year-old Beasts of the Southern Wild rival Quvenzhané Wallis.
"What you talkin' about Wallis? The alphabet called. They want their letters back," she quipped.
Of Amour's Emmanuelle Riva, Lawrence joked: "An 85-year-old French lady. Yeah, I think I can take you."
