Ashton Kutcher: 'Playing Steve Jobs was terrifying'

By
Ashton Kutcher has revealed that he was "terrified" taking on the role of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs in the upcoming biopic jOBS.

The Two and a Half Men star admitted to being a great admirer of the tech mastermind and believes the man's contribution to the industry is still fresh in people's minds.

"It's portraying a guy who just passed away that is really fresh in people's minds, that people are really passionate about, and care about, and have an opinion about - that's really scary," he told US Weekly.

"Especially portraying a guy that I really admire... it's terrifying, it's terrifying."

Kutcher previously revealed that he was hospitalised two days before filming after suffering pancreatic pain as a result of adopting Jobs's fruitarian diet.

"I was like doubled over in pain and my pancreas levels were completely out of whack, which was completely terrifying, considering everything," he said.

The fruitarian diet, which Jobs took on during the 1970s, involves consuming only fruits, nuts and seeds.

jOBS, which debuted at the Sundance Film Festival last week, has received mixed reviews from critics and drawn criticism from fellow Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak.
