Fox Searchlight has confirmed that Trance will receive a limited US release on April 5, 2013.
James McAvoy (X-Men: First Class) stars in the film as a thief who claims to be struck by amnesia following a heist.
Claiming that he is unaware of where he hid the stolen goods, McAvoy's alter ego undergoes hypnosis at the demand of a crime boss played by Vincent Cassel (Black Swan, Eastern Promises).
Rosario Dawson also stars in the film alongside McAvoy and Cassel, playing a hypnotherapist.
Trance will be released in the UK on March 27, 2013.
