This year's Academy Awards will be broadcast live in the UK on Sky Movies.

While Sky Movies has shown the Oscars exclusively for the past eight years, this year the ceremony will have a dedicated channel, Sky Movies Oscars / HD.

Sky Movies presenter Alex Zane will lead a panel of celebrity guests and film experts, who will discuss their predictions and reactions during the evening, while red carpet coverage from Los Angeles will also be aired.

The channel, which launches on February 11, will show award-winning films until the ceremony itself airs on February 24.

This year's Academy Awards ceremony will be hosted by Seth MacFarlane, and will feature performances from the cast of Les Misérables, Barbra Streisand and Adele.

A tribute to the James Bond franchise is planned, as is a tribute to the last ten years of movie musicals.

The 2013 Academy Awards will be held on Sunday, February 24 at Hollywood's Dolby Theater.
