Bruce Willis: 'Daniel Craig, Jason Statham are future action heroes'

By
Bruce Willis has spoken about the next generation of action heroes.

The Die Hard actor remains one of Hollywood's leading action movie stars, along with fellow veterans Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone.

Having previously starred together in last year's The Expendables 2, Willis returns as John McClane in A Good Day To Die Hard later this month, while Schwarzenegger stars in The Last Stand and Stallone leads the cast in Bullet to the Head.

However, Willis has predicted that the next brigade of action stars are likely to be British.

"I think there are new action stars - I think Jason Statham is one. He's really good," he is quoted as saying in The Sun.

"And Daniel Craig is a pretty tough guy. He reinvented that whole genre. He made me start watching James Bond movies again. He's great."

Willis added: "It takes a while to become a guy that is as mythical as Arnold Schwarzenegger. He's done a lot of things.

"He was the Governor of California - that was the most amazing thing that I have ever seen."

The fifth instalment in the Die Hard franchise sees Bruce Willis's action hero travel to Russia.

A Good Day to Die Hard will open in the UK and US on February 14.
