'Guardians of the Galaxy': Jason Momoa in talks for Drax the Destroyer

Jason Momoa has reportedly entered negotiations for the part of Drax the Destroyer in the Guardians of the Galaxy movie.

The Conan the Barbarian actor was offered the part following a screen test on Wednesday (February 13), Latino Review reports, and is now said to be in talks.

Isaiah Mustafa, Dave Bautista, and Brian Patrick Wade all apparently also tried out for the role.

Momoa is best known for playing Khal Drogo in Game of Thrones, and is currently starring in Bullet to the Head alongside Sylvester Stallone.

Guardians of the Galaxy will begin shooting in June, and has already entered production.

Chris Pratt has been confirmed for the lead role of Star-Lord, following countless actors being linked to the part.

Pushing Daisies actor Lee Pace, who was previously in the running for the Star-Lord part, described the Marvel Studios film's script as "great".

Guardians of the Galaxy is scheduled for release on August 3, 2014.
