The 85th Academy Awards takes place this Sunday (February 24), with Steven Spielberg's Lincoln leading the pack on 12 nominations. The drama houses excellent performances from Daniel Day-Lewis, Sally Field and Tommy Lee Jones, but it's Ben Affleck's Argo that has pulled into pole position for the coveted 'Best Picture' statuette on the bag of BAFTA, DGA, WGA and PGA wins.
In the acting nominations Daniel Day-Lewis is the overwhelming favourite to take home is third Oscar for his performance as Abraham Lincoln, while Anne Hathaway seems to have 'Supporting Actress' in the bag thanks to her heartbreaking turn as Fantine in Les Misérables.
The remaining acting categories seem to be more of an open field. Will Jennifer Lawrence triumph over Jessica Chastain and Emmanuelle Riva? Who out of the 'Best Supporting Actor' nominees - all five of whom are previous Oscar winners - will emerge victorious on the night?
