The Sky Movies Sci-fi & Horror channel has put together lists of the top 10 re-watched films for both men and women based on a poll.
Women's favourite is Eighties romance Dirty Dancing, which they have watched an average of 15 times, while men have apparently seen the Star Wars trilogy more than 20 times.
Popular with both are Jaws, The Lord of the Rings trilogy and The Terminator. However, in general men preferred action movies and women romances and musicals.
The research is part of the Sci-Fi London film festival, sponsored by Sky. Louis Savy, festival director, commented: "It's great to see these classic films are watched time and time again."
