'I Give It A Year' goes straight to top of Australian box office chart

I Give It a Year has gone straight to the top of the Australian box office standings.

Rose Byrne, Stephen Merchant and Rafe Spall's new comedy debuts in first place with first-weekend takings of almost AU$1.4 million.

Rose Byrne, Rafe Spall and Stephen Merchant star in a new comedy about the first yea of marriage.


Jennifer Lawrence's Oscars success helps to move Silver Linings Playbook up one place to second, while Side Effects is another new entry in third position.

Cloud Atlas also makes its box office debut this week, grossing just over AU $350,000 in tenth place.
