Guardians of the Galaxy will take place largely in space, according to Marvel Comics president Kevin Feige.

The upcoming Marvel adaptation, which focuses on a group of alien superheroes, will be helmed by Super director James Gunn and will star Chris Pratt as Star-Lord.

"The Thor film and the Guardians of the Galaxy film certainly are cosmic," Feige told SFX. "Guardians and Thor will take the brunt of the cosmic side of the universe, particularly Guardians, which is 95% in space."

Jason Momoa, who starred in 2011's Conan the Barbarian, is in talks to play Drax the Destroyer.

Penned by James Gunn (Super) and first-time writers Chris McCoy and Nicole Perlman, the film will begin shooting in June.
