The Timecop star responded to Chris Hemsworth's recent hopes of signing him up for a role, and revealed that he is a big fan of Stan Lee and the Marvel universe.

"It was my pleasure to meet Mr Stan Lee back in 1994, along with Mr Samuel & Mr Victor Hadida!," van Damme wrote on Facebook.
"I read that Chris Hemsworth (Thor) would like me to co-star in The Avengers 2 movie! Well, it would be fun to play one of these types of amazing comic book characters again."
He added: "By the way, I am a big fan of Marvel's superhero Silver Surfer and also another heroic fictional character known as Doc Savage - the Man of Bronze!"
Chris Hemworth's brother Liam Hemsworth appeared opposite van Damme in The Expendables 2 last year.
Director Joss Whedon recently told Digital Spy that he intends The Avengers 2 to delve deeper into character relationships.
The Avengers 2 is scheduled for release on May 1, 2015.
