The Jewish communist couple were formerly Endre Friedmann and Gerta Pohorylle before they changed their names when they went to cover the Spanish Civil War.

"I look at [Capa's] life and see it in heroic terms," Hiddleston told Shortlist.

Andrew Garfield was formerly attached for the Capa role.

Michael Mann is working on another Capa biopic, Waiting For Robert Capa.

Hiddleston was named 'Best Villain' at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards for his role in The Avengers.
