Kirk (Chris Pine) and Spock (Zachary Quinto) face down an unseen threat alongside Uhura (Zoe Saldana) in one image, while another shows them dressed formally for a meeting with Captain Pike (Bruce Greenwood).
JJ Abrams's sequel will be the joint-longest in the series, tying with 1979's The Motion Picture.
The film sees Kirk and his crew returning to Earth in order to fight Benedict Cumberbatch's John Harrison, a former Starfleet employee and "one-man weapon of mass destruction".
Although Abrams is committed to direct Star Wars: Episode VII for Disney, he recently suggested that he could still return to direct a third Star Trek film.
