Speaking at the Calgary Comic Expo, Fisher appeared to confirm the long-standing rumours that Princess Leia will be back for JJ Abrams's upcoming Star Wars sequel.
"I like being bought by Disney, because they never wanted to buy me before," she said.
"I'm glad they are doing a new movie because they are sending a trainer to my house so I can get in really good shape. So I'm really eating a lot of sugar in advance, as you can see. By the time I really get down to it I will have eaten everything."
Reflecting on the experience of making the original Star Wars films in the '70s and '80s, Fisher named her final confrontation with Jabba the Hutt as one of her favourite scenes to film.
"I always get his name mixed up with other boyfriends," she quipped. "Oh God, I loved doing that. You know, they ridiculously asked me if I wanted a stunt double to kill Jabba the Hutt. Can you imagine? I got to saw that neck off, it was really, really fun and one of the highlights of my career."
Star Wars: Episode VII is also expected to bring back Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford, while C-3PO star Anthony Daniels recently hinted to Digital Spy that his protocol droid will be back.
Disney will release the blockbuster in cinemas in 2015.
