Galifianakis reunites with Jeong, Bradley Cooper and Ed Helms in the third Hangover, which sees the Wolfpack going on a road trip to save Chow.
In an interview with the Hangover Part III cast for ET Online, Galifianakis suggested that wacky criminal Chow is the most logical character to base a spinoff around.
"Well, the Hangover movies... have to be in the context of the three of us, I think, and [Justin Bartha's character] Doug as well," the actor explained.
He continued: "If there was a spinoff - I don't think I envision a spinoff - but if there was one, I think one with [Chow] would work."
His co-star Helms also joked that a movie based around his own character Stu wouldn't actually be very funny.
"A Stu spinoff would be the most boring movie of all time," Helms joked.
Hangover director Todd Phillips recently offered hints about the third movie by claiming that it is considerably darker in tone that its predecessors.
The third Hangover movie opens on Thursday (May 23) in the US and Friday (May 24) in the UK.
