Marshall has previously worked on numerous blockbuster films including Raiders of the Lost Ark, Poltergeist and the Bourne Trilogy. He is currently signed on for Jurassic Park 4.

The Assassin's Creed franchise centres around a man who is sent back in time to explore the memories of his assassin ancestors.

Mike Lesslie has written the script, with Ubisoft's Eli Richbourg, Fassbender and his partner Conor McCaughan also signed on to produce.

Assassin's Creed is scheduled for release on May 22, 2015.
