Skyfall director Sam Mendes and screenwriter John Logan will both return for the as-yet-untitled next instalment, which will be released in the UK on October 23, 2015 and in the US on November 6, 2015.
Daniel Craig will return for his fourth outing as James Bond, while other returning cast members are yet to be confirmed.
"Following the extraordinary success of Skyfall, we're really excited to be working once again with Daniel Craig, Sam Mendes and John Logan," producers Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli said in a statement.
"I am very pleased that by giving me the time I need to honour all my theatre commitments, the producers have made it possible for me to direct Bond 24," Mendes added.
"I very much look forward to taking up the reins again, and to working with Daniel Craig, Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli for a second time."
The likelihood of Mendes' return has been in question since the release of Skyfall, with the director at one stage admitting that the idea of directing Bond 24 made him feel "physically ill".
Skyfall cast members who are likely to return for Bond 24 include Ben Whishaw as Q, Ralph Fiennes as M and Naomie Harris as Moneypenny.
Whishaw has hinted that production on Bond 24 could begin by the end of this year.
