'Kick-Ass 2' stuntmen save woman's life at Comic-Con

By
Three stuntmen promoting Kick-Ass 2 saved a woman's life on Sunday (July 21).

The incident at Comic-Con in San Diego saw a woman dangling from the 14th floor of an apartment building. Reports claim she was suicidal and went on to threaten to jump after realising movie crew members Amos Carver, Gregg Sergeant and Scot Schecter had spotted her.

The three, who were organising a private Kick-Ass 2 event across the street, ran through three lanes of traffic and jumped a fence before pulling the woman back from the balcony.

Carver told ABC News: "We went through the apartment trying to be as quiet as possible. We didn't want to alert her that we were there."

The woman, who has not been identified, was reportedly drunk and upset over a recent break-up.

"She just kept saying, 'I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry', over and over again. She was very distraught," Carver added.

"We're trained to deal with these situations should they arise. But usually if we do, it's not an innocent civilian."
