Julia Louis-Dreyfus: 'James Gandolfini was a dear man'

Julia Louis-Dreyfus has reflected on working with the late James Gandolfini.

Enough Said stars Gandolfini in one of his final acting roles as a divorced man whose new romance is sabotaged by his ex-wife (Catherine Keener).

Louis-Dreyfus has now shared with E! News that she was charmed by Gandolfini while shooting the romantic comedy.

"[He was] a very thoughtful guy, very dear, earnest and very self-effacing all the time and doubting all the time about himself," she said.

"It was amazing actually, so not like a Mafia boss [like in The Sopranos]."

Louis-Dreyfus went to describe Gandolfini as being "crazy good-looking" and "sexy".

Enough Said will be released in selected cinemas in the US on Friday (September 20).

Gandolfini passed away while on holiday with his son in Italy back in June.
