The Railway Man, Colin Firth and Nicole Kidman's upcoming World War II drama, has premiered a new trailer exclusively through Digital Spy.
The film is based on Eric Lomax's autobiographical account of his time as a prisoner of war in Singapore during World War II.
Firth plays Lomax, an army officer who is captured and forced to work in a Japanese labour camp during the war.
Decades later, Lomax discovers that the Japanese interpreter he holds responsible for much of his treatment is still alive and sets out to confront him, and his haunting past.
War Horse actor Jeremy Irvine appears as a young Lomax, while Stellan Skarsgård plays Lomax's friend Finlay.
The Railway Man will be released on January 1, 2014.
