Published Thursday, Jun 21 2007, 15:47 BST | By Nick Levine
Filming has begun on the fourth Indiana Jones movie.

The follow-up to 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade will be directed by Steven Spielberg, who helmed the three previous instalments in the popular action movie franchise. George Lucas will serve as the film's executive producer.

Harrison Ford will return as the titular hero. Shia LaBeouf, Jim Broadbent and John Hurt also have roles in the movie, which will be released in May 2008.

Sean Connery, who portrayed Indiana Jones' erudite father in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, will not reprise the role in the new movie.
