A biopic about Playboy founder Hugh Hefner has been confirmed for production after he gave his final approval.
It is to be directed by Brett Ratner - who filmed the last instalment of the X-Men series - after Oliver Stone had to be ruled out because he is working on another project.
Ratner hailed Hefner as the "godfather of the sexual revolution" and made his first visit to the Playboy mansion to confirm the deal.
He told Variety: "[Hefner]...used his magazine to advocate civil rights and free speech, and put James Brown on his show Playboy After Dark when they didn't put black performers on national television.
"He broke all kinds of taboos, especially in sexuality.
"I want to show it all, from his first orgy to the stroke that almost killed him in the 1980s."
