Tom Cruise has been given the all-clear to begin shooting his new movie in Germany, despite protests from groups about his belief in Scientology.
It was reported that officials were planning to ban the movie star from filming at German military sites because of his religion.
A Christian group was believed to have been upset that a Scientologist would play the role of Claus von Stauffenberg, a German aristocrat.
Von Stauffenberg was behind a plot to assasinate Hitler and led a group of Nazi officers to plant a bomb under the leader's table at his eastern headquarters in East Prussia.
But the German Defence Ministry have now given permission for the Mission Impossible actor to enter the country and say they do not oppose him filming there.
