Harry Potter actress Katie Leung has thanked fans for accepting her as the boy wizard's love interest.
The 19-year-old filmed a kissing scene with lead actor Daniel Radcliffe in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Although she expected a negative reaction from fans who have a crush on Radcliffe, Katie has been pleasantly surprised by attitudes towards her.
"You know, I haven't had anyone come up to me and say, you know, 'I wanna punch your lights out', not that I'd mind!" she explained. "But they've all been really cool; they've all been really accepting, and I hope they all enjoy the kissing scene."
Asked about filming the scene, she replied: "[Director] David Yates made it very intimate, he closed the set, it was very peaceful, and it went very well. Daniel was very sweet, a real gentleman."
