New 'X-Files' movie on the way
David Duchovny has revealed that a new X-Files movie is on the cards.

The actor confirmed that he is willing to reprise his role as Fox Mulder, and will be joined by Gillian Anderson as Dana Scully in the film.

"I'm supposed to see a script next week," Duchovny told the Hollywood Reporter, adding that series creator Chris Carter was involved in writing the screenplay, and will also direct the movie.

The X-Files ran for nine seasons from 1993 to 2002. The first film was released in 1998.
