Published Sunday, Aug 5 2007, 22:09 BST | By Dave West
The director of the original Wicker Man is to write and produce a "re-imagining" of the movie.
Robin Hardy is said to be using the same theme, but set elsewhere and working under the title Cowboys For Christ.
According to The Hollywood News, original star Christopher Lee is also returning for the remake and will star alongside Faye Dunaway.
The story will see a Christian singer travel to Scotland with her Texas cowboy fiancee. The trip descends into a ritual of pagan sacrifice and murder.
