Betty Thomas to direct 'Dallas' movie

Betty Thomas, who directed The Brady Bunch Movie, has signed up to take on the big screen adaptation of hit '80s TV show Dallas.
Both Maid in Manhatten's Robert Luketic and Bend It Like Beckham's Gurinder Chadha had previously been linked to the project.
Hot Rod's Pam Brady is to write the movie version, which is based at Regency and 20th Century Fox.
JohnTravolta is still being lined up to play the role of J.R. Ewing.
