Metcalfe lands romantic comedy role

'Desperate Housewives'

Jesse Metcalfe has been given a lead role in a new cross-cultural romantic comedy movie.

The Desperate Housewives' star will appear in The Other End of the Line, his first film role since John Tucker Must Die.

The movie will begin shooting in the autumn in Mumbai before completing the filming in the US.

A report in Variety claims that the movie will follow the tale of an Indian call-centre worker who journeys all the way to San Fransisco just to see man she has only spoken to over the telephone.
