Jackie Chan suffered "excruciating" back pain while shooting his latest movie with Jet Li.
The martial arts star aggravated an old injury filming scenes for The Forbidden Kingdom in China last week.
He said on his blog that he was required to throw someone upward in one stunt and could barely get out of bed the following day.
"I had to walk down three steps and join Jet Li for one scene, and each time my feet hit the steps, pain shot through my back," he said.
He has since reassured fans that he is "recovering nicely" after the injury.
The 53-year-old – who holds the Guinness World Record for 'Most Stunts By A Living Actor' - has admitted that he usually feels pain in his waist, knees and shoulders when he wakes up.
