Iranian leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has given his approval to a documentary planned by director Oliver Stone.
Ahmadinejad revealed that he has "no objection, generally speaking," to the film, adding: "but they have to let me know what are the frameworks."
Earlier this month, his media adviser rejected the proposal, saying: "It is right that this person [Stone] is considered part of the opposition in the US, but opposition in the US is a part of the great satan. We believe that the American cinema lacks culture and art."
The Platoon director fired back: "I have been called a lot of things, but never a great satan. I wish the Iranian people well, and only hope their experience with an inept, rigid ideologue president goes better than ours."
Stone, 60, has made two documentaries about Cuban leader Fidel Castro.
