Rockers Justin Hawkins and Carl Barat have reportedly signed up to appear in a new Joe Meek biopic called Telstar.
The former Darkness singer and the ex-Libertines guitarist will play the roles of Screaming Lord Sutch and Gene Vincent in the film about the life of the famous tone-deaf music producer, say reports.
The movie, which is scheduled for release in spring 2008, will see Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels actor Nick Moran make his directorial debut.
Kevin Spacey is also rumoured to have agreed to play the part of Major Banks, a financial supporter of Meek, in the film.
