Broadbent joins 'Half-Blood Prince' cast

The Oscar-winning actor described his character of Horace Slughorn to Dark Horizons as "a retired teacher of magic who's drawn back out of retirement because he's got some secrets they need in the battle against the Death Eaters".
Broadbent's latest film And When Did You Last See Your Father? is due to open across the country on October 5, while shooting for Half-Blood Prince began yesterday.
