Winona Ryder has become the latest star to be added to the cast of The Informers, say reports.

The Edward Scissorhands actress will star alongside Billy Bob Thornton and Mickey Rourke in the adaptation of the Bret Easton Ellis novel. The movie will be directed by Gregor Jordan.

The two-time Academy Award nominee will play the part of a newsreader who has just been ditched by her boyfriend.

Set in 1980s Los Angeles, The Informers features intertwining stories about a diverse range of characters, from rock stars to executives and vampires.
