Ray Winstone has turned down the chance to appear in a remake of '70s cop series The Sweeney.
The Sexy Beast actor is currently too busy with other movie projects to take a role in the movie.
Director Nick Love reportedly wanted Winstone to play the part of Jack Regan, who was originally played by Inspector Morse star John Thaw.
Football Factory's Danny Dyer, who has already signed to appear in the film, told WENN: "He's too busy with stuff like Indiana Jones. He's got a house in Los Angeles. I think Nick is going for Paul Bettany now."
