The Nanny Diaries tells the story of Annie Braddock (Scarlett Johansson), a young lady from a working-class family who wants nothing more than for their daughter to become a high-flying business woman. But Annie decides to ignore her family's wishes and instead finds herself in Manhattan agreeing to move in with a wealthy New York family and become their son's nanny. She soon realises what she has let herself in for by working for Mrs. X (Laura Linney) and looking after her brat of a son Grayer X (Nicholas Reese Art), as well as the hardship of falling for their neighbour 'Harvard Hottie' (Chris Evans).
