'The Queen'
Dame Helen Mirren has admitted that she cried when she realised what outfits she would have to wear for her role in The Queen - because she hates tweed.
The Calendar Girls actress had to wear scarves, flat shoes and tweed outfits to portray Queen Elizabeth II in last year's hit film.
But she has revealed that when she first realised how she would have to look, she was horrified.
She said: "When I came across the costume fitting I literally cried. I'd just done Elizabeth I - that had been a trip to fantasy land. I dressed myself up like a Christmas tree.
"To go from that to the brown shoes and tweed skirts, I found it very hard to be someone who chose to wear those clothes. I thought I would never be able to understand this woman."
