Julia Roberts has been presented with this year's American Cinematheque Award to mark her talents as an actress over the last twenty years.
The actress, who has starred in films including Pretty Woman, Notting Hill, Erin Brockovich and Ocean's Eleven, was handed the award in front of stars including Tom Hanks and Natalie Portman.
Roberts said during the Los Angeles event: "I really am just a girl from a little town in Georgia, who had this giant, absurd dream. I think I came along at a kinder time in the business... you could really cultivate your work a little more gently."
