Sewell refuses to play any more villains

Actor Rufus Sewell has insisted that he would rather quit acting than take any more roles that typecast him as a 'lordly villain'.

The British star has played the 'bad guy' in movies such as A Knight's Tale opposite Heath Ledger, The Legend of Zorro, and last year's The Illusionist, alongside Edward Norton.

But Sewell has had enough of such parts and threatened to quit his job rather than carrying on down the same path.

He said: "If it's a case of paying my bills by taking a part that feels similar to stuff I've done before, I won't pay my bills. I will do nothing for however long it takes rather than do what I don't want to do, because it doesn't make me happy."
