Mark Wahlberg has signed up to replace Ryan Gosling in new movie The Lovely Bones after Gosling pulled out this weekend.
The Notebook actor quit the film a day before shooting was due to start, because he was reportedly unhappy with 'creative differences' in the project.
Gosling had grown a beard and even put on 20 pounds for the role in the film, which is an adaptation of Alice Sebold's novel.
Wahlberg stepped in on Sunday to play the part of Jack Salmon, a father whose daughter is murdered and then watches her family and killer from heaven.
Rachel Weisz, Susan Sarandon and Stanley Tucci are also appearing in the film, which began shooting in Pennsylvania yesterday.
