Ferigno, who appeared in the '70s TV show based around the green-skinned superhero, will play a cameo role in the Louis Letterier-directed film.
The former Mr Universe told MTV: "I just finished filming. It's a spectacular movie. Very impressive."
The actor also praised Edward Norton for his take on the famous superhero, commenting: "We talked about [how we're both obsessed with the character]. I believe he rewrote the script because he's very involved with the character.
"He's not just doing another movie, he wanted to be involved with the character. I think that's going to bring it to the next level."
Ferigno made a guest appearance as a security guard in the 2003 Ang Lee adaptation of the comic strip character.
