Paramount
The Lost creator confused fans in July when he released a clip of the movie without a title.
The trailer saw a selection of New Yorkers having a party before a fireball hits the city, knocking down the Statue of Liberty.
A second trailer, revealing the title, will be shown before screenings of Robert Zemeckis' Beowulf, according to ComingSoon.net.
The film has been referred to as 1-18-08 and Cloverfield since the first trailer aired in the summer.
Abrams' untitled film will be directed by Matt Reeves.
