Peter Jackson has been named as the producer of new sci-fi movie District 9.
According to the Guardian, he will work alongside director Neill Blomkamp on the project.
No details of the story have been released so far. However, it is expected that plot details will be revealed at the American Film Market in Santa Monica today.
Jackson and Blomkamp initially planned to work on the film adaptation of computer game Halo, but plans for the movie were officially scrapped last month.
