Fight Club director David Fincher has reportedly agreed to helm an adaptation of graphic novel The Killer.
The movie, which will be produced by Brad Pitt’s production company Plan B, is based on the story of an assassin who suffers a crisis of conscience while being pursued by a highly-competent police officer.
The novel by Matz, real name Alexis Nolent, was originally released in the US as a ten-issue series in 1988.
Fincher is currently filming The Curious Case of Benjamin Button with Pitt, who is expected to take the lead role in The Killer. The film will be the pair's third collaboration to date.
Allesandro Camon will pen the script for the Paramount Pictures production.
