Jennifer Connelly to star in sci-fi remake

The actress will star alongside Keanu Reeves in the updated version of Robert Wise's 1951 classic.
The film tells the story of an alien (Reeves), who visits Earth and brings the message 'Live in peace or be destroyed'.
Connelly plays the part of Helen, a scientist who makes contact with the alien. The original movie starred Patricia Neal and Michael Rennie.
Shooting is due to begin next month with Scott Derrickson directing.
