Woody Allen prefers Europe to US

Filmmaker Woody Allen has revealed that he is much happier making movies in Europe.
The Oscar-winning director said he was no longer interested in working in the US because Hollywood studios interfere with his films.
The 71-year-old has spent decades shooting movies in his home city of New York, including hits Annie Hall and Manhattan.
However, he shot his last three in London and made his most recent film Vicky Cristina Barcelona, which stars Scarlett Johansson and Penelope Cruz, in Spain.
He said: "It's easier for me to get financing in Europe. They give me more freedom because they respect the artist more.
"When Hollywood studios finance my pictures, they interfere a lot; they read the script, ask for changes, argue about casting... In Europe, they let me do what I like. Also, I'm able to make movies cheaper there and they don't look as if they're low-budget."
