'Terminator' tops movie catchphrases poll

'Terminator 3'

Arnold Schwarzenegger's Terminator catchphrase "I'll be back" is the movie quote people use the most in their everyday lives, a poll has found.

Rhett Butler's "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn" from Gone With The Wind finished in second place in the survey of over 2,000 people by myfilms.com.

The website asked movie-goers which famous quotes they used most frequently in conversation.

Star Trek's "Beam me up, Scotty" came in third, despite the fact that it was never spoken in the cult TV series.

Star Wars' "May the force be with you", Forrest Gump's "Life is like a box of chocolates" and Taxi Driver's "You talking to me?" took the next three spots.

The top ten favourite quotes were completed by: "Show me the money" (Jerry Maguire), "Do you feel lucky, punk?" (Dirty Harry), "Here's looking at you, kid" (Casablanca), and "Nobody puts Baby in the corner" (Dirty Dancing).

A myfilms spokesman said: "Our research shows the huge influence films have over people, from life-changing experiences to the way we speak."
